The used rod includes a slotted and internally threaded head. However, early Kar98k rods are very similar in length (10.25' Chilean carbine vs 10' K98k), and can be had for 10 online, and frankly, my rifle is already mismatched, I wont mind too badly if a purely aesthetic piece is wrong - if it fits.

So anyway, does anyone know the thread pitch of a Chilean 1895 cleaning rod I found a link to Liberty Tree Collectors for 24+shipping on a carbine-length rod. OBERNDORF A/N" and the left side of the receiver ring is marked with a five pointed star followed by "Serie C. The receiver side wall is marked "MAUSER-WERKE A.G. The right side of the receiver is marked with the pre-war commercial proofs of a "Crown B, U, G and N" proofs. The top of the receiver has the Chilean "Crossed-Rifles" Crest, marked "CHILE" at the top and "ORDEN Y PATRIA" at the bottom and "MODELO 1935" below that and the rear receiver ring is marked with the "Mauser Banner" logo. This a very nice example of a pre-war Mauser rifle, these were produced prior to WWII under contract for the country of Chile.
